Since we're just arriving and didn't have much time to explore before attractions closed, we decided to head out to a nicer dinner.
After some open table & Internet blog searching, we ended up at Fade Street Social.

People, I hate mushrooms! You know what I had for part of dinner and loved, mushrooms. I also had a pumpkin flat bread, Mike had rabbit and delicious vegetables that we shared.
And a take on black forest cake that was delightful! (chocolate molten cake, cherry compote & cherry sorbet, yum yum yum.)
We also splurged and got cocktails. Mike's was a riff on an old fashioned that had some sort of smoky liqueur in it. Called some cute name with strumpet in it.
Mine was a: Dolly Fawcett
Whiskey Based Cocktail
A lovely combination of fresh APPLE & IRISH HONEY muddled & then
shaken with Jameson, Cointreau & Amaretto for a delicious finish served with apple slices dashed with cinnamon.
Then we ventured to the roof top bar, it looked like a circus text! Red and white stripes tent strung with festoons and even had heaters!
Most of all, our waiter was Dylan from Trenton. He was delightful, and I think he was happily amused to have two jersey peeps to talk to. He had happy tears in his eye to see a new Jersey id. He gave us several other restaurant suggestions. And some speak easy that you need codes and alleys and secret doors to go to.
